The Dorminy - Massee House is located within walking distance of historic Fitzgerald's downtown and has long been recognized as the town's most prominent residence.  Fitzgerald itself was founded over 100 years ago by both Confederate and Union veterans of the War Between the States.  Many of Fitzgerald's current residents are descendants of soldiers who marched with either the "Blue" or the "Gray."  For a fabulous, in depth history, please  click here.
